There are many dos and don’ts in resume writing. But, if I was asked for my very top tip when it comes to formulating a killer CV, it would have to be the following;
Focus on the Goal. Your goal is the only thing that matters.
Shake the mindset that more is more, when it comes to describing your experience. “More”, most often, simply means; more difficult to read. The primary objective in formulating your resume is; clearly laying out your relevant experience, in an easy to digest format, that compels the reader to want to meet with you for interview.
When sitting down to draft your CV and application for a role, ask yourself: Will I use this experience / credential for the job? If not, don’t bother putting it in, it will only serve to take up space you could be using for more relevant information.
