Job Summary:

You will be responsible for managing a selection of client portfolios and relationships directly. Assist in the development of the local investment offering and development of new business. Reports to the Head of Asset Management. This is a position that suits an individual who has a solid background in researching credit markets and has proven expertise in managing fixed income portfolios and global asset allocation mandates.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage a book of high net worth clients by understanding their financial needs, their risk tolerance, and investment time horizon and by creating an appropriate investment mandate.
• Structure, optimise and manage client portfolios by matching client’s investment mandate to the appropriate investment offering consistent with Group investment policy.
• Implement asset allocation as decided by the Group Investment Committee.
• Construct portfolios by selecting stocks, bonds, and/or third party funds based on the Group’s recommend lists and on client risk appetite.
• Regularly review client’s financial situation and portfolio(s) making the appropriate adjustments as circumstances dictate.
• Create and deliver proposals and presentations for clients or potential clients.
• Participate in and contribute to the Group’s investment process.
• Assist in the group’s strategy planning and development of the local investment offering.

Know-How/Competency Requirements:

• University degree plus 8 years relevant experience or equivalent. CFA designation preferred.
• Sound knowledge of global equities, debt markets, third party funds and securitised collateral instruments.
• High computer literacy and knowledge of Bloomberg, Reuters and Portia applications.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Strong presentation and sales skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.

Problem Solving Requirements:

• Taking into account investment amounts, types of investments, investment mandates, the bank's investment policy and current market conditions, independently construct and adjust client portfolios accordingly through appropriate trades in order to meet client needs.
• Create discretionary portfolios for new clients by appropriately balancing client needs and risk tolerances with the bank's view on prevailing investment climate, model portfolios and recommended lists.
