Baraud have been engaged by a full-service offshore law firm to secure an Assistant Accountant for their Cayman office. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Accountant and:

• Assist the team in maintaining complete and accurate financial records
• Conduct account reconciliations and analysis
• Assist with the processing of payroll and payroll related transactions to
staff, third party vendors and all government agencies
• Assist the team with the preparation of the Partnership’s monthly and
yearly closings
• Assist with the preparation of the Partnership’s Consolidated Financial
Statements; the preparation of budgets and financial reports
• Organization of all the accounting practices including setting up
wire payments, reviewing backup for every transaction, keeping
banking information up to date
• Assisting the Senior Accountant with the establishment and
maintenance of the Partnership’s accounting principles, practices and
operational procedures; and the documentation of such.
• Performing and assisting with any ad hoc projects and tasks when
requested.

Candidates are expected to possess the following experience at a minimum:
• CA/CPA or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience
• Experience of working in a multi-jurisdictional professional services
organization or function
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Demonstrated experience of Viewpoint and Quickbooks Software
• Experience of working with Time and Billing software preferred
• Previous responsibility assisting with annual audits, taxation
calculations and overseas returns preferred.

• The ability to liaise professionally with clients

Please note that there will be a regular requirement to work hours outside usual business
hours due to the overseas offices being in different time zones.

On offer is an attractive remuneration package, and the successful
candidate can expect to earn up to CI$60,000 per annum dependent on
experience and qualifications, plus statutory benefits as required by law.
