About our client:
Our client is a global leader in banking and finance solutions.
Responsibilities:
Manage the financial reporting team to ensure that work is completed
accurately and on time. Day to day responsibility to Head of Fund
Accounting for regulatory reporting, fund reporting and completion
of audits.
Act as an escalation point for Fund Accounting Managers for non-standard
decisions and provide guidance as appropriate.
Define new procedures within the Fund Accounting department with
particular focus on the financial reporting area.
Assist the Head of Fund Accounting in the allocation of work and
tasks as appropriate to ensure the smooth and efficient operation
of the department.
Act as an escalation point for clients in highlighting non- standard
areas or issues that affect the operation of the department.
Act as an escalation point for auditors of financial statements
and Fund Accounting Managers in respect of same to ensure all queries
are resolved successfully.
Participate in client meetings and represent the Fund Accounting
department.
Participate in the development of practices, procedures and policies
across the fund accounting area in conjunction with the Head of
Fund Accounting
Responsible for all reporting requirements to Central Bank and
IFSRA as per statutory regulations.
Recruit, train and develop fund accounting unit to ensure that
necessary resource levels are available.
Requirements:
- Accounting Designation (CA, ACCA, CPA)
- 6+ years experience in fund administration with at least 3
years people management experience.
